..::Benny Hinn::..

Benny Hinn in Hyderabad, February 2006 "I love India and I will come back to India," Hinn said, adding that his ministry, based in Bangalore, would hold a similar congregation in February 2006 at Hyderabad. 7 million attend Festival of Blessings in Bangalore, January 21-23 The first service of the greatly anticipated Festival of Blessings in Bangalore, India, was held on January 21, 2005. The crowds began arriving at the Jakkur Airport Grounds early on Friday morning for the evening service. This 215 acre complex had been prepared for the massive gathering through months of diligent efforts by the Festival of Blessings Event Committee, Benny Hinn Ministries staff, and more than 25,000 volunteers. When work began in August 2004, much of the area was covered by weeds and grass reaching four feet high. But when hundreds of thousands of people began entering the grounds in a river of humanity that flowed for hours down the roads of Bangalore, they found a field cleared, leveled.

More than 60 large video screens were constructed so that no matter where a person was seated—whether in the 300,000 chairs that had been brought in from all over the country or on the ground where carpeting had been securely placed—they had a virtual front row seat to view the images transmitted by the eight video cameras manned by the ministry’s television crew.

When the service began shortly after dark, official estimates placed the number of people who had already found their place in the vast area at more than 1.5 million. As the 2,100-voice choir began to minister, the people kept streaming into the area, and by the time the service was less than an hour old, more than 2 million were lifting their hands and praising God.

After a time of worship, as the presence of the Holy Spirit began to fall, Benny Hinn declared his love for the people and the nation of India. To honor this great country and the many government leaders who were in attendance, Pastor Benny introduced a special video presentation of the Indian National Anthem. Later in the service, he declared that he had come to India to give of himself and the ministry.

After special music from the massive choir led by Jim Cernero and anointed songs from Steve Brock, Sue Dodge, and well-know Indian actor and singer, Vijay Benedict, Benny Hinn preached a message on the healing compassion of Jesus Christ. In great detail he described forty-eight hours of our Lord’s life in which Jesus encountered a steady stream of people in need of healing and deliverance, and everyone of those people received their miracle. With their faith at a high level, those in attendance reached out to Jesus, and miracles began happening all over the audience. Many were able to make their way to the platform to testify of blind eyes that were opened, deaf ears that could now hear, broken bodies that were now made whole, and a variety of physical infirmities that suddenly disappeared when the power of God touched their lives. The life-changing power of Jesus Christ impacted many hundreds of thousands of lives on this January 21 service.

What is the 'Pray for India Rally' about?.
Pray For India Rally.

Pray for India Rally has all the makings of being a 'history-making' event. As the name suggests, it is an occasion for believers and lovers of peace and our nation from all over to come together to pray for the success and prosperity of our beloved nation in these times of change.

The Bangalore rally at the sprawling Jakkur Airfield Grounds, from Jan 21-23, 2005, follows a large and well-attended 3-day prayer rally in Mumbai in February, 2004.

With prayer and worship led by Pastor Benny Hinn, along with several key Christian leaders and a 2000 voice choir, the meetings are being held as a "Festival of Blessings" for the people of India. Regardless of their caste, background or religion.

Recognizing the significance impact of this sacred event, certain important leaders, personalities and celebrities have already expressed their interest in attending the rally to 'pray for India'!

There will be special prayer for the sick and needy each day of the meetings.
All are welcome to attend. Entry is FREE.
Special arrangements have been made for the sick and handicapped.
The meetings will be conducted in English with Kannada translation.

Will Benny Hinn pray for me?

We are gathering to pray for India first. Of course, people are the nation's most valuable resource, so it only natural that Pastor Benny Hinn will pray for our people.

Prayer Partners, Intercessors (people who know how to pray effectively for others) and other leaders will be at hand to assist you and pray for you whenever you need prayer, or no matter what your request. God answers prayer. Your prayer in faith is as important to Him as anyone else's is.

This sounds like a religious meeting. Do I need to be religious to attend?

To attend this meeting, all you need to be is able. You don't even need to be completely able. Religion neither qualifies nor disqualifies anyone who wishes to attend the PRAY FOR INDIA rally.

Worship, prayer and preaching will be an important part of each evening, but that might not necessarily make it a 'religious' event. Yes, it is a sacred event. Simply because you can expect to experience the presence of God. And that's usually the most worthwhile reason to come.

Is this only for Christians?

No. Regardless of belief, culture, race, language, persuasion or gender, every one is welcome to attend the meetings. This event is for anyone who loves peace and desires God's blessings on India.

Do I have to buy a ticket to attend?

Absolutely not! The meetings are FREE and open to ALL. Please do not encourage anyone who may try to sell you a ticket or a pass. There is no entry fee, nor any other charge.

However, if you wish to make an offering to God, you would find freewill offering boxes located around the grounds. A volunteer will be able lead you to one.

Can I attend on all 3 days?

Yes! Yes! Yes! And bring a friend along with you each time. Remember, the grounds are 1km wide and 1km long. So there's plenty of room for everybody. And we're expecting a lot of people from across India and other parts of the world. So you will be in great company.

With so many people will I be able to see what's going on?

Not a problem. Did you think we'd invite you and not give you a 'ringside' view? Picture this: over 72 giant video screens (yes, you can say 'wow!') will bring you up close and personal with each moment of the evening. The most advanced audio systems with a monstrous output of true CD quality sound will be located at scientifically regulated intervals all across the grounds to ensure that from stage-front to back-row the sound clarity and quality does not vary. And you hear every whisper, no matter where you are.

I've got friends who don't speak English but really want to come. Will there be translation?

Like you, Pastor Benny Hinn is thinking about your friends too. All the meetings will be translated into the official State language of Karnataka, Kannada. Pastor Benny Hinn will speak in English.

How to get to the Pray for India Rally?

The venue for the meetings is in the opposite direction of downtown Bangalore, so you avoid the bustle of home-going traffic.

One of the simplest ways to get around Bangalore is to book a hotel taxi (most hotels have a service available onsite). Or rent a car for the day. Most car rental services come with a driver (you don't need to worry about learning the local lingo just to find your way around). Charges vary depending on the class of vehicle you choose as well as the size and service of the operator. Most leading service providers have a fleet of the fairly contemporary, well-maintained international models of cars. As a practice, a standard fee for a day (8hours), which includes a certain number of kilometers. Beyond this, clients are usually charged per extra hour and/or per additional kilometer.

Call Taxi Services are an easy and efficient way to get around, but might be in short supply during the days of the meetings.

I am in a wheelchair. How do I get in?

A special welcome to all those coming in wheelchairs an in ambulances. You will be pleased to know that Pastor Benny Hinn and the Festival of Blessings has taken extra trouble to arrange an exclusive section (quite close to the front) with your own giant screens and exquisite sound...just for you.

I'm coming with kids. Do I need to carry water and food? And what about ...(ahem!) toilet facilities?

This is a 'family' event. And we'd really like your family to feel right at home. Bringing children to a crowd of this magnitude can be a scary thought. Which is why we've tried to think of everything you wouldn't want to worry about. Like water: you'll find packaged, branded drinking water available and easily accessible from wherever you are in the crowd. Or something to eat: you also have some seriously delicious catering options so that body and soul won't ever go hungry. And toilets: Relief will ever be at hand. Adequate numbers of well appointed, hygienic and conveniently placed toilets for ladies and gentlemen will be available and never far away from you. (One less thing to worry about).

Where do I park my car? Will it be safe?

You'll find there's more parking space available here that you will find at some swanky down-town addresses with free valet parking. There's ample room for your car. And paid parking services too, so you can take comfort in knowing that at the end of the evening, you car will be safe and ready to take you home.

However, it always is more fun and more helpful if you can plan to pool a car. It frees up the roads, the parking lot, and helps you and your friends enjoy the evening together. And remember, the early car gets the parking space!

I don't have my own transport. How do I get to Jakkur Airfield?

Allow us the pleasure of extending a courtesy drop which will pick you up from any of almost 10 points in the city and drive you to the grounds by bus (absolutely free) and return you to the spot where you first got on. List of pick-up centers and drop points will be available shortly.
